ELEMENTS FOR HIGH-PERFORMANCE WELDING

Arc welding elements are mainly used in heavy carpentry and structural metal construction, where a particularly strong and durable mechanical joint is required. They are essential in applications involving static or dynamic loads, vibrations, and continuous stress, such as in infrastructure, industrial building, shipbuilding, and the production of special vehicles.


In addition to standard threaded studs, the A.T.S. catalogue includes internally threaded bushings, Nelson-type shear connectors, plain studs, headed studs and other special components designed to be welded directly onto metal using various arc welding technologies, such as ceramic ferrule arc, gas-shielded arc, and short arc welding.


The fasteners are available in various materials, primarily S235 steel, stainless steel (AISI 304 / 316), and, upon request, aluminium or special surface treatments to enhance corrosion resistance. Each element is designed to ensure optimal fusion with the base material, providing high shear, tensile, and fatigue resistance. The processes are compatible with manual, semi-automatic, or fully automated systems, allowing for great production flexibility and high repeatability in weld quality.


Thanks to its extensive technical experience, A.T.S. is able to provide customised solutions optimised for specific functional, dimensional, or regulatory requirements (e.g., UNI EN ISO 13918 certification for construction shear connectors).
