STUD FOR ARC WELDING (TYPE FD)

The arc welding stud (type FD) is a fully threaded element, extending all the way to the welding tip, and features the same mechanical properties as the (type MPF) model. The continuous thread makes it ideal for applications where the full length of the stud must be used, while ensuring solid and uniform fastening.

The welding stud (type FD) is supplied complete with a ceramic ferrule and is available with threads ranging from M6 to M20, making it suitable for various industrial and structural assembly configurations.

Welding of the stud (type FD) can be carried out using drawn arc with ceramic ferrule and an arc welding machine, or, with some limitations, by gas-shielded arc welding in environments where cleaner and more controlled welds are required.

Production of the arc welding stud (type FD) uses materials compliant with international technical standards:

• Steel 4.8, for general-purpose applications with medium strength
• Stainless steel A2-50, for humid environments or light corrosive agents
• Stainless steel 1.4571 (AISI 316Ti), for chemically aggressive or high-temperature environments
