TECNA COLUMN-TYPE MEDIUM FREQUENCY SPOT WELDERS (6010-6013)

COLUMN-TYPE ROCKER ARM SPOT WELDERS, FOOT AND AIR OPERATED

COLUMN-TYPE ROCKER ARM MEDIUM FREQUENCY SPOT WELDERS, FOOT AND AIR OPERATED (6010-6013)

The TECNA medium frequency column-type rocker arm resistance welders, available in pedal-operated and pneumatic versions, series (6010-6013), offer a nominal power of 25 kVA at 50% duty cycle in direct current, ensuring precise and reliable welding with reduced operating costs.

Equipped with inverter technology, these machines deliver high-quality welds with greater energy efficiency compared to conventional AC systems. Their structure ensures operational flexibility thanks to adjustable arm length and customizable electrode stroke.

The copper-chrome electrode holders, designed for heavy-duty applications, can be mounted both in a straight or inclined position, adapting to various welding requirements. The epoxy resin-encapsulated transformer, arms, electrodes, and electrode holders are water-cooled, ensuring optimal heat management and increased component lifespan.

The welding control system is intuitive, allowing manual adjustment of time and current via potentiometers.

Available Versions: Pedal-Operated and Pneumatic

In pedal-operated welders, the electrode force is adjustable, and a micro switch activates the welding cycle when the set value is reached. The pedal is adjustable in length, improving operator comfort.

In pneumatic welders, the pneumatic controls and air pressure gauge are positioned at the top for easier adjustment and reading. The pneumatic cylinder operates without lubrication, preventing oil mist formation and maintaining a cleaner work environment.

The electrode force is adjusted via the filter-reducer unit with pressure gauge. The machine also includes a semi-automatic condensate drain, end-of-stroke shock absorber, and exhaust silencers, reducing noise and vibrations.

The pedal enables single-cycle operation, allowing precise clamping of workpieces before welding.

Advantages of Medium Frequency Technology

Compared to traditional AC systems, medium frequency technology offers:

  • Greater precision in current control, thanks to dual feedback, which checks the output current before and after the transformer every 500 microseconds.
  • Reduced operating and maintenance costs, as an AC system would require higher installed power and greater line current consumption.
  • Less electrode wear, due to faster welding cycles, reducing maintenance needs and increasing productivity.
  • More efficient heat delivery, ensuring the same welding quality in less time, with lower heat dispersion and minimal material alteration.
  • Balanced network load and independence from power supply frequency, improving system stability.
  • Constant welding current, regardless of line voltage variations, secondary circuit impedance, tool conditions, or material surface characteristics.
