The automatic bench (series Z) for capacitor discharge stud welding ensures high precision and reliability thanks to its robust welded steel structure and the use of high-quality components.
Available working areas: 800 x 800 mm or 1300 x 800 mm. Other dimensions available on request as special production.
The many configurable options allow the bench to adapt to various applications and specific productions. Excellent accessibility is ensured by a compact design with a 19" control unit integrated into the frame, while the flexible positioning of pneumatic clamps on the worktable facilitates component clamping. The worktable is made of aluminum T-slotted plates and laminated fabric plates, providing electrical insulation and wear protection.
The "zero point free" structure eliminates mechanical play, allowing quick setup and retooling times while ensuring high performance thanks to dynamic servomotors. The bench also features a re-welding function with automatic program continuation. High-precision axes with linear guides and screw or belt drive ensure repeatability and long-term reliability.
Sliding internal supports with cover straps protect the unit from welding splashes, smoke, and dust. The working area can be protected with a sliding, folding, or lifting door (also available with pneumatic operation on request) or with a light curtain. A top cover for acoustic insulation is available upon request. The bench (series Z) can be configured with one up to three stud welding heads, each capable of reaching the entire work area.
Welding capacity: weldable stud diameter: 3–8 mm (other diameters and special components available on request); positioning accuracy: ±0.2 mm.
Programming is simple and fast with PRO-STUD software, which includes a DXF converter. Customer-specific data is imported via an industrial PC terminal, automatically converted, and transferred to the controller. Monitoring and documentation of welding parameters is carried out using stud welding units (PRO-C / PRO-I / PRO-D):
- Recording of current, time, and arc voltage for each weld
- Monitoring of stud movement (lift, piston stroke, immersion depth), if an automatic head with measuring system is installed
- Comparison of actual parameters with reference values, with adjustable tolerances
- Alert or automatic unit lock in case of deviations (function can be disabled)
- Automatic storage of the last 10 parameter sets
- Optional: extended memory for 24,500 parameter sets, with date/time and USB interface for data export to PC
