COOKIE POLICY - extended informative note

Upon first access to the Site, the user will be informed of the use of cookies and of this policy, which must be accepted in order to continue browsing. Acceptance of this cookie policy and browsing the Site without deactivating cookies implies the user's authorisation to use this type of cookie. This policy will always be available on the Site.

Below, you will find information about "cookies", what type of cookies are used, how to disable them and how to disable third-party cookies.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that the sites visited by the user send to his device (smartphone, computer, tablet) where they are stored and can then be transmitted again to the same sites at the next visit in order to improve the access experience.

Cookies may also be from websites or web servers other than the one on which you are browsing (so-called "third party" cookies) in the presence of links (including through images or sounds) to web pages of other domains.

Depending on their characteristics and use, cookies can be divided into different categories: technical, profiling, own, third party.

What cookies does A.T.S. S.r.l. use?

Technical cookies (for which no consent is required):

  • Session or navigation cookies that allow access to the services available for each type of user and to upload any customisations of the interface and functionality of the site.
  • Analytical cookies (used directly by the site operator and/or app to collect information, analytical data, in anonymous and aggregate form, on how users use the sites and monitor the performance of the same).
  • Functional or customisation cookies (cookies that are used to recognise and remember your preferences and allow you to access a version of the site that is based on certain predefined criteria such as the language used).
  • Web Beacons: These are small images, also known as "pixel tags" or "transparent GIFs", that the owners may include in their site, services, apps, messages and tools. They generally work with cookies to identify users and their activities.
  • Analytical cookies: the Site uses Google Analytics, a web analytic service that uses cookies to analyse how users use the Site. The information generated by these cookies will be transmitted to Google and stored on Google's servers in the United States. Google will use this information to track and review your use of the Site, to compile reports on Site activity and to provide other services related to Site activity. Google may also transfer this information to a third party, to the extent that this is allowed by law and when the third party uses this data on Google's behalf. Google will anonymise the user’s IP address and will not associate it with any other data held by Google. For more information, please consult the following link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245. The user can selectively disable the action of Google Analytics by installing on their browser the opt-out component provided by Google: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Third-party profiling cookies

By browsing the Site, the user may receive third-party cookies, including profiling cookies. These cookies are used to track the user's web browsing and create profiles in order to send promotional messages in line with the preferences expressed previously by the user. For further details or to deny your consent to third party cookies, you can click on the links in the following sections.

Social Plugin: these are the cookies installed by social media buttons (Facebook, Twitter, etc...). Their use is optional. When the user uses one of the above mentioned plugins, by pressing the reference icon button, the Site will contact, through the user's browser, the servers where the social sharing services are managed, communicating to them the data that the user intends to publish and share through his social profile (for which the user remains solely responsible) and informing them (the servers) of the pages that the user has visited. Remember that, to exclude this possibility, the user must avoid sharing content by using the buttons of the plugins listed above. For further details on the use and collection of data via social media plugins and to find out how the data collected and transmitted are processed (and for what purpose), please consult the privacy and legal information issued by the owners of the services in question.

Duration of cookies

Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the browser is closed or the logout command is executed. Other cookies "survive" the closing of the browser and are also available on the user’s subsequent visits. These are called persistent cookies and their duration is fixed by the server at the time of their creation. By browsing through the pages of the Site, you may interact with sites operated by third parties that may create or modify persistent and profiling cookies.

Managing cookies

You can decide whether or not to accept cookies by using your browser settings. The total or partial disabling of cookies may impair the use of the Site's functions, but not prevent the Site from being navigated. The setting can be defined specifically for different websites and web applications. Below are the web resources that illustrate how to proceed for each of the main browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari.
