A.T.S. is qualified supplier for molded copper alloy electrodes called TIPS and CAPS.
These copper alloy molded electrodes have the advantage of being more economical than other types of resistance spot electrodes and are particularly suitable for those applications where the electrode undergoes heavy wear during the welding cycle or on robotic welding equipment.
The electrode type TIPS goes directly into the cone as it has a cone for direct coupling.
The type of electrodes CAPS, having only the seat need an extension or a reduction to be used.
Extensions and reductions are used to standardize the electrode stock according to the different applications, allowing in fact to use the same electrode for resistance welding in different circumstances, maximizing the purchase value and reducing the types of electrodes in stock.
