LACQUER GROOVE THREADED STUD FOR WELDING (TYPE PT-A)

The lacquer groove threaded studs (PT-A type) for capacitor discharge welding is designed for use on clean and thin sheets. The weld penetration is only 0.1 mm, ensuring a strong and sealed fastening without leaving thermal or mechanical deformation marks on the visible surface. This guarantees a flawless aesthetic result after welding.

The heads of self-cleaning threaded studs comply with UNI EN ISO 13918 and have a larger diameter than the stud itself. During capacitor discharge welding, they prevent the electric arc from reaching the cylindrical part of the stud, while also increasing the welding surface and improving the fastening quality.

Self-cleaning threaded studs (PT-A type) are available in the following materials:

• Copper-plated steel 4.8: provides good electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance.
• Stainless steel A2-50: ideal for high-humidity environments with greater corrosion resistance.
