KEENSERTS threaded inserts (ATSKNCM) are robust fastening systems equipped with two locking kees that ensure high mechanical strength. Compatible with a wide range of materials, including steels and light alloys, they are used in sectors such as mechanical engineering, aerospace, and precision engineering.
Their strength derives from their construction in stainless steel AISI 303 (1.4305) and the locking kees system, which enhances grip and reduces the risk of loosening. These features make KEENSERTS inserts ideal for creating high-strength threads or repairing worn or damaged threads.
Installing KEENSERTS inserts is quick and straightforward. The process begins with drilling the material using a standard drill bit, followed by countersinking at an angle between 82° and 100°. Next, the hole is tapped to prepare it for the threaded insert. Once the insert is placed into the tapped hole, the dedicated installation tool is used to secure it firmly. The final step involves driving the locking kees into the material using the same tool, assisted by a hammer or press, to ensure a stable and secure connection.
