HEXAGONAL THREADED INSERTS

BLIND RIVET NUT

HEXAGONAL THREADED INSERTS

The hexagonal threaded inserts are divided into hexagonal round head threaded inserts and hexagonal reduced head threaded inserts all with M3 to M12 threading in galvanised steel.

Threaded inserts can be installed by means of a pneumatic riveting machine for threaded inserts on very thin wall thicknesses where they allow for the rapid creation of a high-strength thread without the need for tapping tools.

Threaded inserts are an advantageous and economical solution.

Data sheets for hexagonal threaded inserts can be found in the threaded inserts catalogue.

FAQ and insights

The hexagonal blind rivet nuts are a type of rivet nut with an internal thread and a hexagonal head.

It is used to create a strong thread in materials such as sheet metal, plastic or wood.

There are two main types of hexagonal blind rivets nuts:

  • With cylindrical head: these rivet nuts have a round head which is above the surface of the material.

  • With reduced head: these rivet nuts have a smaller head that is flush with the surface of the material.

The hexagonal blind rivet nuts offer several advantages over other types of fasteners, including:

  • Quick and easy installation: no tapping tools are required.

  • Tough threading: hexagonal blind rivet nuts are able to withstand high loads.

  • Wide range of applications: hexagonal blind rivet nuts can be used with different types of materials.

  • Economical solution: hexagonal blind rivet nuts are an economical alternative to other types of fasteners.
