A.T.S. is a qualified supplier of flexible busbars in copper alloy for resistance welding.
The flexible busbars, as well as flexible shunts, perform the function of connection between two welding systems.
They consist of a central part of cylindrical shape, which allows the transfer of electric current; it is covered with a rubber cover that has an insulating function.
At the ends of the flexible busbar in copper alloy are located the lugs.
They perform the function of connection and fixing with the welding system.
The flexible busbars in copper alloy can be cooled in two main ways: air cooling and water cooling.
Air cooling, also defined as a passive cooling, exploits the holes and cracks of the busbar’s coating sheath.
Water cooling, on the other hand, is defined as an active cooling, as it takes advantage of the water recirculation inside the coating sheath.
In this case the coating sheath is applied in such a way as to be watertight, to avoid water leakage during welding of the electrodes of the resistance welding machine.
Depending on the requirements of your welding systems, A.T.S. can provide you with the flexible busbar that best meets your needs.
