FLEXIBLE COPPER SHUNTS

The flexible shunts in copper alloy consist of two main components: the flexible shunts and the two lugs.

The flexible shunt is the central part of the connection, and as the name suggests, it consists of a large number of copper alloy slats that have the ability to transmit current.

They have a high flexibility, for this reason they are frequently used inside welding automations in motion, as well as being normally present in resistance welding machines.

The second and last component, are the lugs that are located at both ends of the flexible shunt.

In addition to transmitting the current, also being in copper alloy, they perform the important function of compacting and fixing the flexible shunt. 

The two lugs, in fact, are nothing more than the result of the fusion of two opposing copper plates, with at the center, the ends of the slats.

The lug also serves the function of anchorage and connection to the two welding components of the welding system.

Depending on the type of anchorage, different configurations of the lug hole can be made (single, double, quadruple, etc.).
