A.T.S. is a qualified supplier of copper alloy or brass arms used in resistance welding.
On both stationary and suspended spot welders, we need to use so-called "arms" as they allow the welding current to reach the electrodes.
On both suspended spot welders and linear column welders we have a fixed size, which is determined according to the work to be performed.
On tilting column welding machines, the welding depth can be adjusted according to the characteristics of the resistance welder and the work to be performed.
In addition to the more standard sizes and shapes, A.T.S. can also supply these welding arms according to drawing.
For correct welding, the arms must be used in the shortest possible length in order to obtain the best welding pressure and current, which are the parameters required for a good sealing result and spot appearance.
Welding arms are generally cylindrical in shape and have both an initial part, which engages in the welding structure, and a final part, which is destined for welding; this is composed of an end head on which we can mount electrode holder candles or directly the welding electrodes, either straight or inclined.
An important consideration that must be taken into account is the internal cooling that must always be carried out as best as possible, right down to the inside of the welding electrode.
In fact, the arms are solid cylindrical structures, but with a cavity inside them, the diameter of which varies depending on the size of the arm itself, which connects the welding unit in the terminal (electrode, electrode holder spark plug, etc.) with the resistance welder, via its own plug.
This cavity therefore plays a fundamental role in resistance welding, namely the cooling of the entire soldering unit, through the recirculation of water at low temperature.
For this reason, please do not hesitate to contact us, and we will be able to offer the most suitable arms for your needs.
